The plan was to build a four-storey townhouse, with commercial premises on the ground floor and apartments above, on a vacant plot measuring just 4.6 metres wide and 24 metres deep. The new building replaced one dating from the 1920s, now beyond renovation, located in the middle of the historic row of houses on Brixen’s Trattengasse.

Facing the street, the façade blends in with the local architecture typical of the area. To the south, large windows and wide balconies open up onto the green inner courtyard. The deliberately uniform surface materials contrast with the jet-black metal fittings that echo the style of the 1920s.
