Ida - historic town apartments Hotel 2021

A stately 14th-century townhouse in Sterzing was to be completely renovated to offer ten holiday apartments.

The wealth of historical details in some of the apartments, such as their stone ribbed vaults, Gothic bay windows and richly decorated doors, influenced the design concept. Carefully renovated, these artistic treasures were showcased thanks to the minimalist interior design.

Conversely, other apartments draw on the concept of the typical South Tyrolean “Stube” or wood-panelled room. Inspired by this traditional design, the reinterpretation of this “Tyrolean living room” also focuses on high-quality natural materials such as wood and terrazzo in order to make tangible the socio-historical significance of the Stube as a place of warmth, closeness and comfort.
