The plan was to convert a former museum building into an office. The basic idea for the interior design drew on the building’s history as a sacred edifice and was oriented towards its future function as a tax consultancy office.

The dominant element, wooden walls with vertical strips, recall the typical cabinets and panelling of a sacristy, while gold and emerald green colours are reminiscent of sacred art, namely the golden statues and the icons decorated with gold leaf, as well as the velvety green often seen in frescoes.

The choice of colours and materials was consistently applied throughout each room, with glass skylights emphasising the continuity of the spaces. The historic floors were extensively restored: where renovation was not possible, soft carpets were added to give the rooms a homely character and pleasant acoustics.
