Two clients, located in the village of Feldthurns, fulfilled their shared desire for a twin house that would express their shared passion for sailing through its architecture, while also preserving the privacy of their respective families. Dividing the overall project into two structures connected by the single element of water – a pool – permitted a harmonious whole to be created.

Inspired by the look of a classic gable roof, the shape of the roof symbolises the clients’ passion for sailing. The building’s clear division into two halves is offset by the connection provided by the pool and the glazed stairwells: the orientation of the two elements in opposing directions – southeast and southwest – nevertheless preserves their independence to the highest degree.
