The »Oasis« residential complex is situated to the south of Brixen’s city centre. Following the demolition of the existing building, this new development was intended to restore and reinforce the balance between nature and the local architecture, thus enhancing the quality of life. Access was therefore relocated to the north in order to protect the residential areas from noise and dust.

The colour of the roof – light, floating and dynamic in appearance – contrasts with the main structure; below is an airy façade that features thin top panels and slender, round columns whose form is reminiscent of tree trunks, in this way visually complementing the newly created garden area.

Metaphorically, the building represents a solid block of stone from which the rooms have been carved. Despite the altered surface, the fundamental character of the material – in terms of colour, structure and aggregates – has been preserved throughout.
